1 Samuel 15:10 - 22, Genesis 22 : 1 - 5, Ecclesiastes 12:15,  Deuteronomy 13:14.

 

It is true that there are evil force of darkness that always stand on the will of Man. but more than that some people have determined to always go against the commandment of God. King Saul is a case study here

 

Warning; every obedient attract blessing why Disobedience attract punishment Saul obeyed God partially not absolutely.

1. What is obedience?

Obedience is an act of willingness, yielding, and submission to the ordinance and commandments of God for your life. I.e. doing what you are told to do

 

Many would have gone so far in life, but they are too wise and full of themselves and the continue the rat race. (Matt 7:24-25) Jesus emphasized that he that hear his word and do them is a wise man, which build is House on the rock

 

Note: the consequence of sins of Adam was severe on the world, but obedience of Jesus reconcile man back to God

Saul went to Amalekites all in partial obedience. (1samuel15:10-22).

 

Until we learn to obey God fully you can't enjoy God absolutely.

 

2. Blessings of obeying the Lord

1. Spiritual blessings - it shall lead to the establishment of covenant between you and God. E.g.  Abraham (Genesis 12:1 - 2, Exodus 19:5)

 

2. Material blessing - he promise to bless his people with materials too (job 35:11, Isaiah 1:19 - 20)

 

3. It terminates generational punishment (Genesis 12:3)

 

4. Divine protection and backup (Exodus 23:22)

 

5. It attracts generational blessing (Genesis 12:3)

 

6. It raises people to greater heights e.g. house of reliabilities was honor (Jeremiah 35:18-19)

 

Danger of disobedience

Danger means the perish, disaster, evil that has been pronounce by the word of God that shall happen to disobedient 

 

1. It can lead to a curse from God. (Deuteronomy 11:26)

 

2. It can course enemies to prevail (Jude to 2:2-3)

 

3. It can cause of fruitfulness pretty (psalm 68:6)

 

5. it can course confusion on our way (Jeremiah 3:25)

 

6. It can course Untimely death (1king 13:24)

 

Conclusion

Those that cannot walk in obedient to God hardly enjoying God's blessing and presence
