SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD
2 Chronicles 7:14-15, Jeremiah
29:13, 2 Chronicles 26:5
INTRODUCTION:
If there is any time for all children of God to passionately
seek the face of our father, I think it is now.
Our days are full of challenges and various epidemic and various
diseases.
What does it mean to seek the Lord? It means to run after God
for help or assistance. i.e to be in good relationship with Him, and to come to
His presence for fulfillment/strength.
Seeking the Lord also means to desire and pursue earnestly the
Lord’s presence, fellowship and kingdom. If we want true happiness, security
and freedom from anxiety of the world, we truly need to seek for God.
Jer. 29:13 – And you shall seek me and find me, when you
search for me with all your heart. God made Israelites to understand
that they are to seek for Him for their advantages/peace. Rom. 5:8 – Not
because they are the best but to reveal overflow of His love to them.
How to Seek the Face of God (2 Chronicles 7:4)
1.
You need to know God
personally/God know you too
2.
Humility (James 4:6)
Proud/Arrogant cannot see Him even if they seek for Him.
3.
By offering constant prayer to
God
4.
Genuine repentance from Sin
(Isaiah 55:7)
5.
By offering fasting to our
prayers (Matthew 17:21)
Benefits of Seeking the Face of God
1.
God promised to answer our
prayers (Isaiah 55:6)
2.
Restoration of peace to our land
3.
Reduction of moral
decadence/conflicts
4.
Overflow of true prosperity in
the land (2 Chronicles 26:5)
5.
The families on earth will have
spiritual circumcision
6.
Revival of end time as it was
promised (Matthew 24)
Conclusion:
Until all the families on earth come to the reality of God as He
said in (Rev. 3:7) they cannot enjoy their creator. Does it
not funny that last month U.S went on their knees unto God to seek healing from
Corona Virus Epidemic, they went back to God of their father. If world power
can do that now, what is the hope of Africa if is it not in seek of God? Let us
swallow our pride and passionately seek solution from God alone.
God Bless You All.
