WHAT IS FEAR ?

THINGS WE SHOULD NOT FEAR

Num.13:27-28, I Tim.1:17

The lord is the sole creator of every creation. He honour faith but he detest fear. History revealed that many had died of fear than real epidemic like (COVID-19). This is not time to let fear grip us, but time to strengthening our faith.

WHAT IS FEAR ?

Fear means to fell apprehensive or threatening when abnormality happened.

Apostle Paul warned us that God has not given us the spirit of fear (I Tim.1:17) 

“Fear not” appeared more than 50 times in the bible, the word do not afraid appeared 365/366 times in the bible. Everyday of our life w should not be afraid.

The main problem of Israelite despite the favour and the promises of God upon their life was “fear”. They saw the sons of Hanaky and they were afraid. They did not see he that has promised.

THINGS THAT WE SHOULD NOT FEAR

There are several things that want to take place of good God in man, in fact, those things are competing with the spirit of God in man.

•        We are not to fear idols/other gods. Why?

Because God has commanded man not to worship any idol or golden image things 17:16

•        We are not to fear wicked man- we should honour man and obey the law of golden rule, but God has warned us not to fear them. The worst evil of our days is not those that are perpetrate evil but the silence of the righteous e.g. king Saul fear men and failed God. 1 Sam.15:24.

•        We are not to fear “fear” the Acrony of FEAR” F=Force, E=Existence, A=Appearing, R=Real. Research has shown that about 95% of what man usually fear does not real or exist. E.g. job said that all the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me… (Job 3:25)

•        We are not to fear earthly disaster (Lk 21:25) man’s hearts failing them for fear. (Covid-19) has become the dreadful fear of all the nations of the earth. Even those that are evil were restless but God said we should not fear.

CONCLUSION

We are to wake up in good faith not in fear. We are to fear only God and serve Him, even if the rest of the world is not on the part of God. Brethren, hear what the spirit is saying to the world that generation of those people who fear and reference God in Spirit and truth shall be fearless. This  turbulent time shall come to pass very soon. Let us increase our faith and prayers with the fear of God, then our generation shall not afraid of end time disaster. I can see all of us escape this season. Do not be afraid. God bless you all
