A WORTHY VESSEL THAT GOD USE (2 Timothy 2:20-21)
2 Timothy
2:20
But in a
great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood
and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
In the actual
sense of it, no man is termed *"worthy to be used" by God.
No Vessel has
the capacity to be the worthy or valuable type
It is God's
mercy, kindness and his optimum Love which provided grace that has counted many
to be worthy and made some vessels unto honour
When we look
at scriptural references, it reveals that all those that were used by God
Always
express speeches of their Unworthiness, in-capacity, Un-suitability &
Unqualifiable standards
They always
show to God that, they aren't fit, worthy or qualified for the great task, God
is calling them to do
Let look at the case of Moses
Exodus 4:10 KJV:
And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore,
nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a
slow tongue
Exodus 3:11 KJV:
And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I
should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
Exodus 6:30 KJV:
And Moses said before the Lord, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how
shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?
Another case study is Gideon..
Judges
6:14-16..14 KJV: And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might,
and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent
thee?
15KJV: And he
said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is
poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
16 KJV: And
the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the
Midianites as one man.
17KJV: And he
said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that
thou talkest with me.
And lastly,
let view the case of one of the foremost and renowned preacher of the gospel..
Apostle Paul
1corinth
15:9-10 KJV: For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called
an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 KJV: But
by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me
was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but
the grace of God which was with me.
Now there was
something common, that helped every vessel God counted as worthy..
It is called
GRACE
See Gideon
speaking and he said :- God, If I have found GRACE in thy sight..
Paul was on that
same line when he said... I am the least of all the apostles..
He continued
and said...
I am what I
am by the grace of God...
So ,
therefore ... A worthy vessel is a graced vessel
A vessel who
is called unto honour by God's grace
And that is
why, any man can be used by God...
He makes
available the Grace for every Race, provided that, the vessel to be honoured is
humble to receive.
Now, if
everyone can definitely be used by God...
Why do we
have "Un-Worthy Vessels"?
This is it :-
In both
spiritual and Natural Kingdom every one is a "Vessel", But some are
"Vessels" Unto honour while some are unto Dis-Honour
But let face
practically the kingdom of light (God)
The passage
of the Bible made us understand that some vessels are of (Gold & Silver) and
some are of ( wood & Earth)
Now the
reason there would be people who will Continually become vessels unto
Dis-Honour and Un-Worthiness...
The reason,
God will not want to work with some people is because of their
Heart Concept
Before God.
Many Vessels
in the Christendom Now are PROUD.
Believing
that where they are in ministry, the position they've gotten to, and the gift
they operate with is by their strength & personal wisdom.
This kinds
are vessels unto Dis-Honour, they are in the great house but they don't have an
apartment there
Many Vessels
now in the vineyard of God has occupied their life with personal character not
Godly character.
When a choir
members who sings well in the church arrogantly speaks down on the Choir leader
because she believes she is gifted...
See, the
differences between a vessel into honour and Vessels unto Dis-Honour is:-
The fruits in
them
I will never
want to believe that because you are an adequate church comer, a worker and
activities doer in the church that makes you a worthy vessel...
No
A worthy vessel who God use will posses God's fruit..
This is their
character:-
Philippians
4:8
Finally,
brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever
things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.

viruses that has made many vessels to be Dis-honored is this thing called...
PRIDE
James 4-6 KJV:
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but
giveth grace unto the humble.
Many call
themselves vessel until honour but whenever their mate ministers, they are
always showing Strife, envy, jealousy & Hatred...The church has been mixed
up, and implicated greatly...
Those at high
places, doesn't want the young to grow... Amidst the members, there are
unworthy vessels… Amidst the youth, amidst the preachers...
How did we
get ourselves here???
Sincerely
speaking, a vessel unto honour will not want the gifts of God in another vessel
to die. In fact, they will encourage them, help them in any capacity.
Can I say
something?
In the
Christendom, we aren't called to compete with ourselves we are here to
complement ourselves
II Timothy 2
:20
But in a
great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood
and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
Many of us
are just existing in the great house, HONOUR has left our vessel...
Can we cry to
God?
We have
accepted the Nature of Youthful Lust, Disobedience, Pride, Boasting, Ungodliness,
Unthankfulness…
Can we cry for
help, from God?
As a youth because
you hear & see Visions you now think, the evangelist or pastor isn't worth
Honouring anymore
Because you
are the best suprano Singer and as a male, this has made ladies suffer
immorality from you...? hmm
Can we pray
for help please?
Aren't the
vessel unto dis-honour getting much than those unto Honour.
Let us look
at the great house...
Let us look
at the church. .
Let us see
what is happening...
The wood is
getting much than the Gold...
How many
people are still vessels unto Honour. ?
The Earth is
now much than the silver...
How many are
still worthy to stand before God?
Where are the
worthy Youth?
Where are the
worthy men?
Where are the
worthy ministers?
The great
house is suffering from Worthy vessel..
ATTRIBUTES OF

Bitterness
4).Un-Approachable.
5).
Traitors...
5). Hatred.
6).
Retrogression....
Now let's
check the attributes of a worthy vessel
ATTRIBUTES OF

Philippians
4:8
1). Evidence
of God's fruit…
2). They
never take glory…
3).
Correctable:-
They follow
the principle of (W.I.P) Work in progress,so therefore they are easy to
teach...
4). Kingdom
minded:- They are always wanting to please God…
Youth no
longer see sexual purity has important
Can we cry
We are full
of ourselves because of position, and achievement…
Some of us
are no more Worthy ...we are just Vessels
You never
started like this until you started dating that brother…
You were
never like this until you were in a relationship with that sister…
You never
were like this until you became a position holder…
God is even
regretting on some, that I wish I never took her/him to this position...
Those who
were once worthy are no we're to be found in the great house again
Oh God, save
us
Has the first
not become the last?
Where are the
worthy vessels of Christ Apostolic Churh Temidire youth?
Finally as we
conclude let's check on things to do to become a worthy vessel
HOW TO BE A WORTHY VESSEL
Extracted
from
2timothy 2:20:21,
Isaiah 51:7, Isaiah 1:18, Malachi 3:2-3..
1) Work of Purging;
purging from sins, purging from old nature, and purging from unrighteousness…2) Work of Sanctification;
an operation of the spirit on those who are already in Christ. It is done by
God not man, it's means to make sacred, to make holy, and to be clean from
moral corruption and pollution
3) Work of Sacrifice
The work of
sacrifice is to be done by us, as a Christian there should be a place of us
paying some spiritual sacrifice despite the grace we have received like sacrifice
in the place of prayer, sacrifice in studying and meditating of God's word (Bible),
sacrifice of our time, possession and many others for God.
But the
question is, are we paying this sacrifice?
4) work of Alignment
Alignment is
an act of positioning, relating and submitting our will to that of God's will. The
work of alignment is also to be done by us, everything done in heaven is God's
will, no contention in heaven, so therefore in order for us to be a worthy vessel our will must submit to
that of God in all aspect of our life
5). work of serving
This also is
to be done by us, there is a need for every worthy vessel to serve in the
presence of God, or in the house of God, we all are called into serving in the
presence of God, we are hired of Gods kingdom but must serve in his house on
earth. Every wothy vessel is called into service in the house of God on earth
6) Work of obedience
This work
also is to be done by us, and it’s very important before we can become a worthy
vessel, there is a need for us to obey God, no matter how difficult, we must
learn how to obey anything God command us to do, our obedience will draw God's
attention more to us
But are we
obedient?
In conclusion:-
In this great mission Christ Apostolic Church, they are vessels unto honour and
dishonour, which one are you?
N:B :- As a
vessel unto Honour, don't wait/Stop because man is not honouring you, your
honour lies with God
