HOW
TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO UNBELIEVERS
Gospel
of Jesus Christ is the vision and mission of Jesus Christ on earth (John 1: 38)
the gospel also know as good news or evangelism is all about the kingdom of
God. It’s the gospel of salvation and redemption brought unto the world by the
lord Jesus.
Gospel
of Jesus Christ is telling people to repent from all their sins and turn to God
that the time of refreshing may come from the lord and enjoy everlasting rest
with him. It’s a message or teaching concerning the will of God, his do and
don’t, reward and consequences, teaching people to follow Jesus steps, living
as Christ lived and behave as Christ behave.
Gospel
of Jesus Christ is changing people heart from gods to God, from carnality to
spirituality, from destruction to salvation, from what is not righteous to
righteousness, from hell to heaven. It’s the reason Christ die for you and I
and our existence as a Christian today.
Jesus
Christ fully begins his gospel at age 30th till age 33th and 6
month before he was ascending to heaven. The key point of his gospel is
repentance and the kingdom of God which is the will of his father.
He
was going from place to place teaching people the way of the lord, to do what
is just and depart from any form of iniquities.
He
preach to people to repent for the remission of their sins, convincing them to
do his father will, for them to inherit the kingdom of god but it’s a only view
accept his message.
Why should I preach the gospel to unbelievers?
Since the beginning of Twenty century, the issue of preaching the
gospel of Christ among the believers most especially the youths as been
critically reduced because many don't know what to say in preaching gospel,
many are feel shine, many are scared of spiritual and physical attack,
technology and economics activities have steal away their time.
As a believer, one of our primary goals is to spread the gospel of Christ and leave the gospel of Christ everywhere we go. Hear what Jesus Christ said to his disciples: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth, go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18–20)
7 strategies of Jesus in preaching the gospel to unbelievers
Jesus
used diverse of strategies to convince people to accept his message. Some of
the strategies are as follow;
1) Jesus
Christ show love to people, humble himself to our level, he die for you and I
and ask people to love one another.
2) Jesus
Christ used Discipleship:
He
train people and give them authority to preach the gospel (Matthew 28:16-20)
3) Jesus
Christ promises people the kingdom of God if they accept his gospel which is
the will of God.
Let
not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my
Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I
would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I
am, there ye may be also. (John 14:1-3)
4) Jesus
exposes the consequence of rejecting him and his gospel.
He
that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the
Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him. (John 3:36)
5) Jesus
Christ performs miracles, signs, and wonders. He feeds the five thousand
people
(John
6:8-14), he heal a man born blind (john 9:1-8), he wake Lazarus from death
(John 11:38-44), he change water to wine (john 2:1-11)
6) Jesus
Christ leaves an example nary life and asks his disciples to follow his
example.
(John
13) during the Passover night, Jesus got up from the meal, took off
his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a
basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel
that was wrapped around him. He came to Simon
Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus
replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will
understand.” No, said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no
part with me.” “Then, Lord, Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet
but my hands and my head as well” Jesus
answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their
whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” For he knew who was going to betray
him, and that was why he said not everyone was clean. When he had finished washing their feet, he put on
his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done
for you?” he asked them. “You
call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher,
have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you
should do as I have done for you. Very
truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a
messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now
that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
7) Jesus
Christ sometimes talks in parable to give proper understanding of his gospel
retentively.
All
these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable
spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the
prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which
have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Matthew 13:34-35.
Again,
the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and
gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat
down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be
at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from
among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be
wailing and gnashing of teeth. Jesus saith unto them, have ye understood all
these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. Matthew 13:47-51

and principles of preaching the gospel to unbelievers
The Holy Spirit will help us speak the proper words as we spread the truth of God’s Word (Luke 12:12), (2Timothy 1:7–8). We do not necessarily need to travel far away before spread the gospel; we can start right where we are with our family and friends.
When you proclaim the gospel, stay focused on the person and work
of Jesus Christ, tell people who He is, God in human flesh. Tell them why he
came to earth, to offer Himself as the sacrifice that God’s justice requires as
the penalty for our sins.
Show people from Scripture that we cannot add our good works to
what Christ accomplished on the cross. We can only receive his salvation from
our sins by faith in Jesus Christ.
