HOW DO I SET MY GOAL, WORTH, BENEFIT AND ENEMY OF ACHIEVING THEM
GOALSSETTING: is simply an organized personal
planning process. It is a reliable method for identifying what you want to
achieve-whether in the long or short-term, and whether in your personal life,
your profession or career. Note: when you don’t set goals anything goes in your
life. It is of such great important that even our Lord Jesus Christ recognized
it. No one can achieve a sustainable progress in his/her life, calling or
career without paying a good attention to this important topic (Goal Setting). LUKE 14:28-30, ACT 21:11-13, ICOR
9:26-29
The process
of setting goals however gives you the laser-sharp focus you need, to achieve
real and lasting success, not just in your personal life but also in the lives
of the people over whom the Holy Ghost has made you an overseer (act 20:28).
So, to start
setting goals, perhaps the first step should be to simply some time to decide
what direction you want your life, family, or profession to take.
Once you
start this process (and stick to it) it won’t take long for you to see the
results, which include being able to break down even the most complex life goals into stepping stones that
you can tackle everyday, until you reach the bigger picture, or have achieved
your lifetime goals. When we are talking about setting realistic and result
oriented goals in our respective life and areas of specialization (profession)
we need the help of the Lord through His Holy spirit.
Looking at
the life of Paul the apostle, he had his goals and priorities well set. In
Romans 10:1 his desire (goals) was that his brethren would be saved. In I Cor.
9:26-27, his goals was also to win the prize. That was his goals in ministry.
No wonder he labored much more than the other Apostles. In another situation,
his goal was to preach in Jerusalem in spite of the things that were waiting
for him there (act 21:11-13)
BENEFITS OF
GOAL SETTING

determined path.
2. It helps you more accurately to identify the distraction
that is serving as road blocks on your path to realization of goals.
3. It helps you to identify and prioritize your desires in
life. You will learn how to get to the important things first, leaving the less
important ones
4. It helps you to discipline your appetite you will have to
sacrifice some things, so you can achieve your desires
5. You gain more confidence in yourself as you achieved one
goal after the other, thereby encouraging you to set even more important and
bigger goals for yourself or career
ENEMIES OF ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS

illness causing fatigue.
2.

that goal. More after these people are satisfied with small achievement
